Leading software and supply chain management company ByBox is demonstrating their green credentials with a string of prestigious environmental award wins.

ByBox has revolutionised the field service logistics market with their smart lockers and innovative supply chain solutions has been recognised for their waste management and environmental achievements with a Green Apple and National Recycling Awards.

ByBox was named as the winner of the award for environmental best practice at the Green Apple Awards 2023 and more recently, achieved the award for recycling excellence- site management at the National Recycling Awards.

In collaboration with waste management provider, Go4Greener, ByBox has significantly reduced the amount of waste sent to landfill, with over 98% of waste now recycled.

In addition, internal awareness campaigns around energy, water and waste management has been delivered at ByBox hubs with the creation of Green Waste teams to champion best practice.

The company has also invested in plastic and cardboard bailers to improve efficiencies and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Both accolades recognise ByBox’s outstanding commitment to reducing their environmental impact by offering customers a cleaner, greener field service supply chain.

As of 7^th March, ByBox estimates that it has saved over 4.6 million kgs of CO2 for their customers since 1^st Jan 2023 by reducing the distance engineers has to travel to pick up and return parts.

The company is committed to a greener future and boast energy and environmental management system accreditations ISO14001 and ISO50001 across all of their sites.

ByBox, Head of SHE(Q)& Facilities, Nicky Clews said: “At ByBox we are on a positive carbon journey has invested significantly in our energy and waste management processes to reduce our impact on the environment.

“We work closely with our customers, colleagues and suppliers to raise awareness and take action to minimise our impact.

“Our waste management programme in partnership with Go4Greener has been a huge success and we are thrilled to be recognised with awards for this programme. By minimising general waste and promoting recycling, over 98% of our waste is now recycled.”

With distribution centres located in Bristol, Coventry, Doncaster, Glasgow, Huntingdon, London, Milton Keynes, Solihull and Warrington, ByBox delivers over 30 million items per year to 45,000 secure lockers across more than 1,500 sites to support vital infrastructure including hospitals, telecoms, utilities and data centres.
